Video: AKUVO’s Mossman and NACSCU’s Matusiak Share Ukraine Efforts Update
AKUVO President/CEO Jay Mossman and NACSCU (Poland) President/CEO and CEO of Via Stella Foundation Rafal Matusiak stopped by our set at the Underground Collision event in Washington, D.C., to provide an update on relief efforts going toward Ukraine from credit unions and CUSOs.
Jay personally donated approximately $40,000 over the last six months to purchase an ambulance and medical equipment for these refugees. His contribution provided an ambulance to evacuate ill and injured women from the Zaporizhzhia conflict zone, where the embattled nuclear power plant is located.
Jay also issued a challenge to his colleagues running CUSOs for 10 of them to make donations of $10,000 each to the Via Stella Foundation, supporting the Polish credit union movement’s front lines work to respond to the war’s humanitarian crisis.
