Oct. 21-23 event in New Orleans offers unique blend of regulators, CU leaders

ARLINGTON, Va. – Over a three-day period, participants in the 2015 NASCUS State System Summit in New Orleans will engage in discussion of regulatory challenges, emerging technologies, current credit union issues, and the path forward for the state credit union system.

The Oct. 21-23, NASCUS Summit is the only annual gathering that is devoted exclusively to the state credit union system nationwide, including credit union regulators from every state, state-chartered credit union leaders and those supporting the state credit union system.

Nearly 20 speakers covering a wide range of regulatory, technological, legislative and legal topics in nine hours of general sessions, up to seven issues briefings and dialogs, and six separate breakout sessions are featured at the meeting, held at the New Orleans Sheraton Hotel.

Here’s a summary of the latest agenda for the meeting (subject to change):

Wednesday, Oct. 21:

8 a.m. (to 5 p.m.) Registration, information desk open

8:45 a.m.: Opening Ceremonies and Welcome Remarks

9:30 a.m. – Noon: General Session
