Attackers are using AI to craft realistic hacks against an organization’s weakest link, their employees. Leveraging AI for more complex attacks, such as creating deepfakes, performing voice cloning and analyzing social media along with online data to craft personalized attacks against Credit Unions. During the presentation, we will showcase the techniques behind deepfake video creation, demonstrate voice cloning technologies, and employ AI to craft a phishing email. In addition, we will highlight ways to identify and mitigate against the increasing threats that leverage AI.

Andrea Selke, CISSP, CEH, Security+
Cybersecurity Principal

Andrea has over 15 years of experience as a cybersecurity professional in financial institutions (banks and credit unions), service industry, government, nonprofit, health care, education, and manufacturing. Andrea’s experience includes penetration testing, network vulnerability assessments, social engineering, wireless security, web application security assessments, and technical security assessments. She leads Plante Moran’s cybersecurity penetration testing team.
Andrea holds a Master of Science in information assurance from Eastern Michigan University and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Michigan. Andrea is an (ISC)² Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), and Security+ (CompTIA) certified.

Andrea is a former board member of the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium ISC2 Greater Detroit Chapter and a member of the Society for Information Management (SIM) Detroit Chapter, Women Security Alliance (WomSA), and the Michigan Council of Women in Technology (MCWT). She has presented on security-related topics for multiple conferences and events.
