2026 Fraud School

October 13 - October 14

Join Us October 13–14, 2026 | Columbus, Ohio

Fraud risk is evolving quickly across the financial services landscape, and credit unions are increasingly navigating more complex threats, from account takeovers and check fraud to deepfakes and payment manipulation. We’re excited to announce the launch of the NASCUS & Critical Ops Fraud School, coming October 13–14, 2026, at the Ohio Chamber of Commerce in Columbus, Ohio.

The 2026 Fraud School brings together credit union leaders, fraud investigators, and regulators to examine the modern threat environment and the institutional controls needed to manage it. The two-day, in-person program focuses on governance, documentation, and defensibility — with sessions led by practitioners and fraud experts that cover the real exposure areas that financial institutions are navigating today.

Sessions will explore:

  • The evolving fraud threat landscape and financial crime convergence
  • Governance expectations, board oversight, and safety-and-soundness considerations
  • Major fraud exposure areas include e-crimes, account takeover, deepfakes, and identity theft
  • Building a fraud response playbook and strengthening institutional controls
  • Operational security and evidence integrity during investigations
  • Additionally, participants will also work through exercises designed to test real-world decisions.

It’s an opportunity for the credit union community to lead the conversation on modern fraud prevention.
This is an in-person event.
