2026 Fraud School

October 13 - October 14

Save the Date: October 13–14, 2026 | Columbus, Ohio

Fraud risk is evolving quickly across the financial services landscape, and credit unions are increasingly navigating more complex threats—from account takeovers and check fraud to deepfakes and payment manipulation.

We’re excited to announce the launch of the NASCUS & Critical Ops Fraud School, coming October 13–14, 2026, at the Ohio Chamber of Commerce in Columbus.

Registration Opening Soon

This new program brings together credit union leaders, fraud investigators, and regulators for practical training focused on the real fraud threats facing financial institutions today. Hosting the event in Columbus—just steps from the Ohio Statehouse—also reinforces the importance of collaboration between the financial sector and policymakers as fraud risks continue to evolve.

This two-day structured program will focus on governance, documentation, and defensibility—bringing together practitioners, regulators, and fraud experts to examine the modern threat environment and the institutional controls needed to manage it.

Sessions will explore:

  • The evolving fraud threat landscape and financial crime convergence
  • Governance expectations, board oversight, and safety-and-soundness considerations
  • Major fraud exposure areas including e-crimes, account takeover, deepfakes, and identity theft
  • Building a fraud response playbook and strengthening institutional controls
  • Operational security and evidence integrity during investigations
  • Additionally, participants will also work through exercises designed to test real-world decisions.

It’s an opportunity for the credit union community to lead the conversation on modern fraud prevention. This is an in-person event.
