2026 State System Summit Agenda and Speakers Announced; Early Bird Registration Closes May 30
ARLINGTON, VA — The National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors (NASCUS) is now accepting nominations for the 2026 Pierre Jay Award, the association’s highest recognition for individuals, programs, and organizations that have made meaningful contributions to the state credit union system. The award will be presented at the 61st Annual Meeting, the NASCUS State System Summit (S3), taking place August 11–13, 2026 in Philadelphia, PA.
About the Pierre Jay Award
The Pierre Jay Award is named for Pierre Jay, the first Commissioner of Banks in Massachusetts and one of the earliest champions of credit union development in the United States. Alongside credit union pioneer Edward Filene, Jay helped build the foundation that credit unions across the country still stand on today.
Nominees may be individuals, programs, or organizations. Strong candidates demonstrate a record of service and leadership within NASCUS and/or the broader state credit union system, whether through a singular contribution or a career’s worth of impact.
Recent recipients include Janet M. Powell (OR) in 2025, Cherie Freed (NCUA) in 2024, as well as Rose Conner (NC) and Mike Williams (CO) in 2023. This award has recognized dedicated leaders who have helped shape the state credit union system for more than six decades.
The nomination deadline is the close of business, Friday, June 19, 2026. To submit a nomination, click here to complete the Pierre Jay Award Nomination Form or visit NASCUS.org/about-us/pierre-jay-award/.
