NASCUS Congratulates New NCUA Board Chairman Kyle Hauptman

ARLINGTON, Va. — The National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors (NASCUS) extends its congratulations to Chairman Kyle Hauptman on his designation as the thirteenth Chairman of the NCUA Board. Chairman Hauptman’s extensive expertise in financial services and his commitment to a robust dual chartering system underscore his dedication to the continued success of both state and federal credit unions. NASCUS and state regulators look forward to collaborating with Chairman Hauptman to achieve a safe, sound, and innovative credit union system that serves its members effectively.

We also extend our gratitude to former Chairman Todd Harper for his four years of partnership with the state system. NASCUS looks forward to continued collaboration with him and the entire NCUA Board as we work toward shared objectives.

On January 20, 2025, he was designated Chairman by President Trump, following his tenure as NCUA Vice Chairman since December 18, 2020. Chairman Hauptman was first nominated to the NCUA Board on June 15, 2020, confirmed by the Senate in December 2020, and sworn in shortly thereafter.

NASCUS remains committed to fostering collaboration and alignment between state and federal regulators to ensure a thriving credit union system for all.
