Jennifer Esser
VP of Professional Development | The Wisconsin Credit Union League

Bio: Since joining The League’s Education & Training Department in July 2001, Jennifer has played a pivotal role in its success. By 2009, she took the helm in developing and coordinating nearly 200 training programs annually. These programs are instrumental in training 90% of Wisconsin’s credit unions, benefiting over 2,600 front-line, back-office, and executive staff, as well as directors, in performing their roles effectively. Additionally, Jennifer serves as the primary League liaison for credit union chapters across the state. Before her tenure at The League, Jennifer accumulated six years of experience in the financial industry. She holds a degree from UW-Milwaukee.


Paul Guttormsson
Senior Vice President & General Counsel | The Wisconsin Credit Union League

Bio: Paul Guttormsson plays a pivotal role in shaping credit union regulations by drafting regulatory comment letters that impact operations, income, and member services. As a key member of The Legal Affairs team, he provides telephone and email support to credit unions, conducts research, and develops The League’s informational releases. Paul is also a frequent presenter at League compliance roundtables and webinars. Additionally, he oversees The League’s forms program. Paul graduated with honors from UW-Eau Claire in 1985 and worked as a newspaper editor before earning his law degree with honors from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1994. He has been with The League since 2001.

Bio: Ian Lampl is the co-founder and CEO of LoanStreet Inc., an innovative online platform that helps financial institutions to manage, scale and analyze loans on their balance sheets, connect with partners and effectively share risk.

Prior to launching LoanStreet, Ian served as Deputy Chief Counsel for the Office of Financial Stability which implemented the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) for the United States Department of the Treasury. While at Treasury, Ian developed and managed a number of the Treasury programs to stem the financial crisis.
