OFAC and FBIIC to Meet with State Regulators at National Meeting

March 13, 2008 - The U.S. Treasury Department will send representatives from two of its offices to meet with state regulators during the National Regulators Meeting between state regulators and the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) in Tampa, April 13-15.

On April 13, David Brummond from the Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) will meet with state regulators during the afternoon’s Regulators’ Only Session. Brummond will discuss current and emerging OFAC issues, OFAC’s MOU initiative and upcoming projects to provide more information to state agencies and take questions from attendees.

Erica Blake, a senior policy analyst with Treasury’s Office of Critical Infrastructure Protection and Compliance Policy will meet with state regulators on April 15 to discuss issues related to the Financial and Banking Information Infrastructure Committee (FBIIC).

As you know, FBIIC recently concluded a system-wide test of financial preparedness for pandemic outbreak and is responsible for ensuring systemic and infrastructure support of financial system business continuity in the aftermath of a catastrophic event. NASCUS is a member of FBIIC.
