The NASCUS/Credit Union National Association conference brings together BSA compliance officers, examiners and regulators, and industry experts for nearly three days of discussion, networking and education on BSA compliance issues. This year’s attendees will hear from representatives from Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) on issues examiners and credit unions will be facing this year.

Some of the topics new for 2008 include:
• An in-depth hands-on look at developing an institution-wide BSA risk assessment for your credit union.
• Understanding how your BSA due diligence before a merger can save your credit union from other pitfalls.
• Shared branching – who is responsible for what?
• ACH and wires and BSA.
• A look at alternative payment methods and the problems that can develop.

This conference will feature informative discussions on practical operational compliance issues, open forums for question and answer, big picture compliance trends, overviews of common mistakes and networking opportunities. All of these aspects combined make this year’s conference a must attend event.
