Mary McDonald Appointed NASCUS Credit Union Advisory Council Director

ARLINGTON, VA NASCUS Credit Union Advisory Council Chairman Mendell Thompson, president and CEO of America’s Christian Credit Union in Glendora, California, appointed Mary McDonald, president and CEO of USA Credit Union in Troy, Michigan to the Credit Union Advisory Council Board of Directors on December 27, 2006.

McDonald fills Jo Anne Fillwock’s seat on the Board. Fillwock retired from the credit union system on December 31, 2006 and stepped down as Credit Union Advisory Council Chairman in early December. McDonald will serve Fillwock’s unexpired term which ends in September 2007. Fillwock was president and CEO of Option 1 Credit Union in Lansing, Michigan.

“NASCUS and the Credit Union Advisory Council Board welcome Mary,” said Thompson. “We look forward to involving her in NASCUS’ important work to strengthen the state charter and preserve dual chartering.”

McDonald has been at USA Credit Union for 34 years, and has served as its president and CEO since March 2001. She has also been a board member of the Michigan Council of the Credit Union Executives Society (CUES) and an alternate board member of the Michigan Credit Union League.
