Reynolds Elected Chairman of State Financial Regulators Roundtable

ARLINGTON, Va. — NASCUS Chairman George Reynolds, senior deputy commissioner of the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance, has been elected Chairman of the State Financial Regulators Roundtable (SFRR).

SFRR’s mission is to provide a forum for communication, coordination and cooperation among state regulatory associations in the promotion of effective state regulatory oversight of financial service providers. The chairmanship is a two-year term; NASCUS will assume administrative direction of SFRR for the duration of Reynolds’ term.

“I am enthusiastic about serving as the chairman of SFRR,” said Reynolds. “SFRR provides state financial regulators a valuable mechanism to discuss and act on common issues affecting financial services regulation both on the state and national level.”

Reynolds follows Patricia Struck, administrator, Division of Securities, Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions, who finished a two-year term as SFRR chairman representing the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA).

The Roundtable is comprised of NASCUS, the American Association of Residential Mortgage Regulators (AARMR); American Council of State Savings Supervisors (ACSSS); Conference of State Bank Supervisors (CSBS); Money Transmitter Regulators Association (MTRA); National Association of Consumer Credit Administrators (NACCA); National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC); and NASAA.
