Early bird rate extended until June 19th!
The Wisconsin Office of Credit Unions, NASCUS, along with the Wisconsin Credit Union League encourage all credit union board members, supervisory committee members and other volunteers along with credit union management to attend this important one-day educational event on Tuesday, June 26 at Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton, Wisconsin. Please note this event is entirely different from the previous years' colleges. We encourage prior attendees as well as first timers to participate.
The day includes many interactive sessions intended to enhance credit union volunteers' knowledge on current best practices in credit union governance and leadership from the regulatory perspective.
Mary Martha Fortney, President and CEO of NASCUS will begin the day with an update on the key issues impacting state credit unions nationwide. Next, renowned governance expert Bud Crouch of Tecker International will present a highly interactive session called “Good Governance: Leading Practices in Credit Union Governance." Ginger Larson, Wisconsin's Director of Credit Unions will help attendees understand the key concerns of regulators as well as the volunteer's role in managing credit union risk. The day closes with a session on the Bank Secrecy Act essentials for Boards with Paul Guttormsson, Legal Counsel with the Wisconsin Credit Union League.
The early bird rate for this event just $149 per person and expires June 19, 2012. After June 19, the rate is $199. Please note that credit unions may register a fourth attendee at no cost. We hope this multiple attendee discount encourages you to bring your entire board! If you have any questions, email jenny@nascus.org.
