As we recover from the "Great Recession," regulators (as well as Congress) continue to focus their attention on the manner in which boards of directors carry out their responsibilities. At the same time, credit union operations, products, services and regulations are growing in complexity. NASCUS encourages state credit union board members to join us for this one-day event geared toward enhancing directors’ understanding of the critical statutory, fiduciary and regulatory responsibilities of a director.

Former National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) Chairman Dennis Dollar will kick off the event with a session on director roles and responsibilities. Senior Deputy Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Banking & Finance Steve Pleger will review regulator and examiner expectations of directors. The day will close with a discussion of the most critical issues facing directors today.
